(Montague, MA) Local filmmakers will showcase their films at Up and Down The River on Saturday. Artists living along the Connecticut River have produced eleven experimental short-films shot and screened on celluloid. These short-films showcase the medium as an art form, rather than entertainment.

The films center on place and placemaking both locally, like with Josh Guilford’s film shot in the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, and across the world, as seen in Abraham Ravett’s film about Poland in World War II.  After the screening, the filmmakers will hold a Q&A. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at the Montague Common Hall. To view full details on the films, filmmakers, and the screening visit the Riverculture website
