(Greenfield, MA) Greenfield Community College Student and former Four Rivers Student, Alex Pawell, received the Allegra Ford-Thomas Scholarship, a national scholarship awarded once a year with a pool of over 2,000 applicants. Pawell was celebrated at an award event in New York City hosted by Emmy nominee Star Jones and the scholarship is awarded by the National Center for Learning Disabilities. Pawell’s future plans are aimed at becoming a stockbroker after finishing school at GCC and the UMass Isenburg School of Business.
