GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Two local boys high school basketball teams are one win away from the Final Four of the state tournament. The Mahar Senators will host English High of Boston in a quarterfinal matchup Friday night in Orange. Tipoff is set for 6:00. The winner will advance to the state semifinals next week.

The Pioneer Panthers were also set to host a quarterfinal round game on Friday night, but the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) announced that the game has been moved to Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Messer Gymnasium in Northfield. The Panthers will go up against league rival Drury. The Blue Devils defeated Pioneer twice during the regular season, and the Panthers will be looking for redemption in the game that matters most.

Both games will air on Bear Country 95.3 and streaming at bear953.com.
