(Greenfield, MA) Last week, the City of Greenfield memorized Maureen Mullaney, former Transportation Planning and GIS Program Manager at the Franklin Regional Council of Government with a “Transit Bee.” Mullaney’s career in the transportation field, she has been a key player in over twenty projects, advocating for public transit, bicycle lanes, and other modern fixtures. Mullaney passed in September of last year after battling cancer. The “Transit Bee” sculpture dedicated to her sits outside the Franklin Regional Transit Authority offices in Greenfield and was painted by Lahri Bond and sculpted by Rachel Katz.
