Lower tax rates, higher property values in Shelburne and Buckland

SHELBURNE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — With growing property tax bases from new construction, renovations and additions, Shelburne and Buckland were able to lower their tax rates by 42 and 62 cents per $1,000 valuation respectively, for Fiscal Year 2025.

The lower tax rates should help balance out increased property values with the average tax bill for single-family homes coming to $5,518 in Buckland and $4,515 in Shelburne.
