DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Deerfield Fire District is reminding the public to have their heating systems serviced annually and to ensure all smoke detectors are working after units were called to a home on Steam Mill Road Monday.
The home was filled with smoke from an unknown source. After searching the residence, the cause was determined to be a malfunctioning blower on the furnace.
