(Northampton, MA) — A Northampton woman and her dog are safe today after they were rescued from the powerful currents of the Mill River. Suzanne Forman and her labradoodle Siena were pulled from the river by rescue crews. Both Forman and her dog were swept away in the river’s waters which were running high and fast because of Tropical Storm Henri. The dog was reportedly getting a drink from the river when it got pulled in and Forman went in after it. Northampton Fire and Rescue officials managed to pull the two to safety within a few minutes.
