ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — In a routine traffic stop turned pursuit just over a week ago, a male individual was arrested and taken into custody.

According to the Orange Police Department, Detective Rushford and the Northwestern District Attorney’s Anti-Crime Task Force attempted a traffic stop on July 23rd in the area of Pine Crest when the operator failed to stop. The operator was allegedly driving erratically through the apartment complex when he stopped the vehicle and fled on foot.

The individual was charged with speeding, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of Class B and Class C drugs, carrying a firearm without a permit and receiving stolen property, namely a firearm.
