ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Christopher Martelle has been sentenced in Orange District Court after striking a Warwick police cruiser and injuring the Police Chief while fleeing a traffic stop in May of last year.
Martelle was arrested after being charged in relation to a shoplifting incident in Worcester and the public’s aid in identifying him.
Martelle pleaded guilty to several charges including assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and leaving the scene of a crash. He will serve two and a half years in the Franklin County Jail.
