(Boston, MA) – COVID 19 testing in Massachusetts nursing homes is now mandatory. The Baker Administration made the announcement Monday. Other new regulations are also being put in place, including in-person clinical audits, funding accountability, and public reporting of data. The administration also announced that an additional $130 million is being made available to nursing and long-term care facilities during the pandemic. However, said funding is dependent on the willingness of facilities to comply with the new COVID-19 testing requirements. For more information on the new funding and coinciding regulations click here.
