WORCESTER, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Mold has been found in marijuana sold at retail locations throughout the state. The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission issued a public health and safety alert for products containing yeast, mold, and or coliform exceeding the acceptable limit.

These strains include “Carbon Fiber,” “Frosted Jungle,” “Highland OG,” and “Silver Kush” sold between September 18th 2024 and January 30th 2025 at locations in Greenfield, Montague, and across the Commonwealth.

In the Cannabis Control Commission’s announcement, they said actions have been taken to ensure the products are no longer sold to the public and no illnesses have been reported to the Commission as of February 3rd, 2025.
