Officials from the Donahue Institute at UMass tell the State House News Service the commonwealth’s economy finished the 2021 calendar year on an upswing, but it remains to be seen how the recent spike in COVID cases may impact first quarter growth, which some experts feel will be significantly slower than the previous two.
