BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Massachusetts is one of more than a dozen states that have filed a lawsuit against the social media platform TikTok on Tuesday, claiming the app is detrimental to children’s mental health.
The lawsuit follows a national investigation that was led by a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general and focuses on the algorithm used to generate content in users’ feeds, which the lawsuit claims is an addictive design.
