Massachusetts Governor, Legislature At Odds Over School Mask Policies

(undated) — There is an increased push to mandate that Massachusetts students wear masks when they return to the classroom this fall. So far, Governor Baker is not in favor of the mandate, despite receiving increased pressure from state lawmakers concerned about recent spikes in COVID cases related to the so-called “Delta Variant.” At this point, the plan remains to have all students back in the classroom this fall, without a mask mandate in place.
