(undated) — It looks like the new Holyoke Soldiers Home will be built by union laborers after all. House Democrats have voted to override Governor Baker’s veto of legislation requiring the new Soldiers’ Home to be built under a “project labor agreement,”which would ensure that rank-and-file workers would be used during construction. Baker warned that the use of union labor would only serve to drive up the cost of what is already projected to be a $400 million dollar project.
