(undated) — Massachusetts is another step closer to becoming the “land of the dinosaur.” The House of Representatives has approved a bill which names the “Podokesaurus holyokensis” as the official state dinosaur. It now goes to the Senate for approval, after which it goes to the governor, who has indicated support for the measure. This dinosaur is a “Bay-Stater” with its species’ fossils first discovered near Mount Holyoke College in 1920.
