(undated) — There will be a lot of extra room on Massachusetts school buses this fall. Recently-released safety guidelines from the state education department limit the number of students allowed on school buses to less than 20. Each bus will have assigned single seats for students and will have to be equipped with masks and equipment to check temps and other COVID-related symptoms. A number of districts are recommending that parents either drive their students or provide alternate means of transportation to prevent overcrowding on buses.
