(undated) — Those who believe there is no such thing as a free lunch may be forced to rethink that position–at least as it relates to Massachusetts’ public schools. Around 50 Beacon Hill lawmakers have banded together to co-sponsor an “Act relative to universal school meals,” a bill which would provide free breakfast and lunch to all Massachusetts public school children, regardless of their economic status. It would also remove the requirement that students sign up in advance, and provide family income information to qualify for the benefit.
