(undated) — We will likely know by the end of today whether the “Fair Share Amendment,” commonly referred to as the “millionaire tax,” will be on the Massachusetts election ballot next year. The Massachusetts House and Senate will meet in a joint session today to take a final vote on whether to put the constitutional amendment on the 2022 ballot. The first vote to do so occurred last year. The amendment would levy additional taxes on residents who make over a million dollars a year, money which would be specifically devoted to education and transportation infrastructure projects.
