(Massachusetts) The Massachusetts State Police have released a statement related to the developments in Washington DC.

”The Massachusetts State Police continue to monitor developments related to protest activity in Washington D.C. as well as planned demonstrations in our state, and will be prepared to ensure that any protestors in our areas of jurisdiction are able to freely express their right to demonstrate provided they do so peacefully and with respect for the rights, safety, and property of others,” said David Procopio, Director of Media Communications.

Procopio said the Massachusetts State Police are aware of planned demonstrations in the City of Boston, and efforts are being made to work with the Massachusetts State Police to insure safety for all. There is no expectation that any violence will occur in Massachusetts, but the situation is being monitored.
