(Massachusetts) Massachusetts has followed suit after the Federal Government halted use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine over six adverse reactions in women who developed a rare blood disorder. The Massachusetts Governor did say that none of the six reactions took place in Massachusetts. Despite this, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has paused all administration of Johnson & Johnson vaccines until the adverse reactions have been investigated. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been given out locally at local clinics, including one in Bernardston. Tim Niejadlik, director of the Upper Pioneer Valley Veterans’ Services District, said that the day of the vaccine clinic no adverse reactions were observed and no adverse reactions have been recorded to date from that event.
