(Boston, MA)  — Massachusetts voters now have a slew of new options for voting.

Governor Baker late Monday signed into law a bill which adds new voting opportunities, including mail-in balloting, for residents concerned about the safety of going to the polls during the current pandemic.

“This compromise legislation, which passed the House by a 157-1 vote, will dramatically expand voting options in response to the COVID 19 pandemic,” First Franklin State Rep. Natalie Blais (D-Sunderland) said. “No one should have to choose between their personal or public health and the right to vote.”

The new voting options will be in place for the September state primary and the November general election.
