(Colrain, MA) To help the state reach their climate goal of 90% waste reduction by 2050, MassDEP through their Sustainable Material Recovery Program has awarded over $5 million to 283 solid waste districts including approximately $6,000 to the Colrain Transfer Station’s recycling dividends program. Programs across the state are utilizing the grant awards for new collection containers, compost programs, and Universal Waste Sheds.
