NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Northfield is moving forward with creating a public water district in an effort to save residents money on their water bills after MassDEP waived the requirement to invest in a $10 million filtration system in October of last year.
A public water district will have access to more grant funding and low-cost loans, saving costs for residents as opposed to a private water company.
