GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield Mayor Ginny Desorgher, DPW Director Marlo Warner, and Fire Chief Robert Strahan all spoke at Wednesday’s City Council meeting on the proposal by MassDOT to install a rotary at the Main, Federal, and Bank Row intersection following a Road Safety Audit of all intersections on Main.
Neither Warner nor Strahan believe a rotary to be the best option for that intersection due to size constraints and large vehicles frequenting the intersection.
The Audit also indicated that the most dangerous intersection on Main was at Chapman Street and a traffic signal could improve the situation.
