(Deerfield, MA) The Massachusetts Department of Transportation held a public hearing Tuesday for the Stillwater Bridge replacement project in Deerfield. The bridge is set to be replaced in 2026 with the new bridge being wider with two five foot lanes on either side for pedestrians and bicycles.
The project is currently estimated to cost $20.5 million and is planned to be funded through the 2026 Transportation Improvement Program for the Franklin Regional Council of Governments. The project design is 25% complete and is expected to be 75% complete by the summer of 2023.
