GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Representatives from the US EPA along with State Representative Natalie Blais and Senator Ed Markey and MassDEP joined Greenfield’s Mayor Desorgher and the DPW Wednesday morning to kick off the $2 million Solid Waste Infrastructure Recycling (SWIFR) Grant program. The grant will fund a new automated recycling collection system for Greenfield, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and increase safety for DPW workers.
