(Greenfield, MA) When councilors asked Greenfield Mayor Virginia Desorgher about her intentions around hiring a permanent police chief at last night’s city council meeting, the Mayor said she is happy where they are now with acting Chief Todd Dodge in the role. After all of the turmoil with the police department “a period of healing and stability has begun,” while she works with state representatives on getting the police and fire chiefs out of civil service.
