(Boston, MA) On Wednesday, Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll endorsed Mayor Roxann Wedegartner for reelection, one of the handful of endorsements the administration is making in municipal elections. Lt. Gov. Driscoll said Mayor Wedegartner is a “critical partner” in moving Massachusetts forward as one of the municipal candidates in line with their vision for the state.
“Mayor Wedegartner is a leader when it comes to tackling the issues that matter to the residents of Greenfield – from housing to economic development to infrastructure,” said Governor Healey. “She is an outstanding partner and leader, and we are proud to endorse her in this campaign.”
“Mayor Wedegartner has proven she can get stuff done in Greenfield and is a critical partner for me and Governor Healey in moving Massachusetts forward,” said Lieutenant Governor Driscoll. “I’ve been honored to work alongside Mayor Wedegartner as a colleague when she was a new Mayor, and as Lieutenant Governor as she tackled vital challenges and opportunities, from housing and affordability to infrastructure improvement and smart fiscal management. She’s more than earned another term in office, I’m proud to endorse her and I can’t wait to get to work with her throughout the campaign ahead.”
