(Greenfield, MA) The Massachusetts Broadband Institute’s Listening Session held on Tuesday at the John W. Olver Transit Center showed that while many rural communities have made significant strides in providing access to the internet, there is still much needed work. The listening session was an opportunity to collect feedback from the community to guide the plans for the $400 million in federal funding the state is expecting to receive for digital equity. Next, draft plans will be published later this fall which the public will have the opportunity to provide feedback on.
