GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A multi-year drought is ongoing across the state and Franklin County sits in a Level-1 mild drought zone as of March 10th. It is estimated by MEMA officials that February’s snow fall will only amount to approximately 2.5 inches of rain once melted, not enough to fully recharge the water system.
