(Greenfield, MA) — A Millers Falls man facing child porn charges has been suspended from his job as a part-time police officer for two separate departments. Jacob Wrisley was arraigned on four counts of child porn possession earlier this week. Wrisley has worked as a part-time police officer in the Bernardston and Buckland police departments over the past two years. He has been suspended from both departments, and both will be seeking his termination. Wrisley has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which grew out of a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.

In a recent statement, Bernardston Police Chief James Palmeri said he has a zero tolerance policy for charges of this nature.

“Upon learning of the arrest and the charges brought against Jacob Wrisley I was shocked and saddened,” said Palmeri.

The Bernardston Police Department is cooperating fully with Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit who is heading up the investigation.

“I thank the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for their effort in protecting our children and brought this behavior to the attention of law enforcement,” said Palmeri.
