The approved Mohawk Trail Regional School District budget has led to some positions cut at district schools. The $20.8 million school budget is about $600,000 less than what the school committee proposed this spring. 10 positions were cut across the district and there were also some non-personnel expense cuts. According to the Mohawk Superintendent, the district faces the same funding problems that occur across the state when expenses go up and funding remains the same.
