Mohawk Trail Named An “American Scenic Byway”

(Shelburne Falls, MA) — The Mohawk Trail is now officially one of America’s “Scenic Byways.” The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced that it has included the section of Route 2 between Athol and Williamstown among 109 National Scenic Byways and 35 All-American Roads. The road was submitted for consideration by the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, as well as the Berkshire and Montachusett Regional Planning Commissions.
