Montague Man Leads Police On High-Speed Chase

(Greenfield, MA) A Montague man led police on a high-speed chase Tuesday afternoon. The man allegedly attempted to hit a Greenfield Police cruiser, then drove south on Routes 5 & 10 into Deerfield, then onto Route 116 to Sunderland, before looping back around towards Greenfield, eventually stopping in a parking lot on Montague City Road where police apprehended him. The driver was treated for a minor injury and underwent a mental evaluation. He is facing motor vehicle infraction charges.
