(Montague, MA) Montague Police Chief Christopher P. Williams released a statement today regarding the death of George Floyd.
“What happened was a monstrous, horrifying and senseless act committed by a police officer who was sworn to protect and serve everyone,” said Williams.
Williams went on to call out the actions of the four police officers involved in the killing as abhorrent.
”The actions of these police officers do not represent who we are and dishonors every other brother and sister officer in blue,” said Williams.
Today a funeral and memorial service was held for George Floyd in Minneapolis.
