MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Under the new leadership of Police Chief Jason Haskins, the Montague Police Department has nearly filled all open staff positions with two new hires this year.
The new hires will alleviate the reliance on overtime and allow officers to handle responsibilities outside of responding to calls.
A third hire was lined up to complete the roster, however it did not come to fruition. Hiring has been a priority for the department since before Chief Haskins joined the team late last year.
