MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Montague Selectboard responded to the high volume of recommendations in the newly released Montague Comprehensive Plan at last week’s meeting.

Town Administrator Walter Ramsey shared that in going through the previous Comprehensive Plan from the 90’s they found that all of the recommendations had since been addressed in some form, if not acted on and implemented. Even so, Ramsey added that the real value is in the goals of each category as guidance for the next ten to fifteen years for the town’s land use boards, policy making, and grant opportunities.

The Selectboard voted to endorse the Comprehensive Plan, following the Planning Board’s endorsement in September of this year. The Plan is expected to come before voters in an upcoming Special Town Meeting early next year.
