(Montague, MA) The 7th Annual Montague Soapbox Races have been cancelled for this year’s event. For the first time since the races began in 2010, there were not enough racers signed up to hold the races. The race is traditionally held at Unity Park utilizing the steep hill that allows adult races to reach up to 35 miles per hour. The Soapbox Races committee has already begun work for the 2024 race, with a possible special deal for the racers who had signed up for this year’s race including one New Jersey resident and one from Pennsylvania.
