MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — In Montague’s Annual Town Meeting, the appropriation of funds for a new library was approved. Now, the future of the project will be determined by a special election on Wednesday, June 24th.
The total cost of the new library is $23.7 million dollars, of which the town will be responsible for $12.4 million, which is $5 million less than it would have cost to renovate the existing Carnegie library.
