(SUNDERLAND, MA) — Sunderland officials are reporting continued good news in the COVID-19 pandemic. Active cases in town have been falling steadily for several weeks, and now the town has acquired a shipment of Personal Protective Equipment from the state, according to Laurie Smith, the town’s Emergency Management Director.
“The Police Department got theirs on Sunday, and the Fire Department got their share, too. Lots of good supplies.”
Smith said she hopes the new PPE is not needed, but is glad the police and fire departments have it at their disposal if it’s required.
