More Heat Today, Maybe Not As Bad

(undated) — It’s expected to be another hot one today, although not quite as bad as what we experienced on Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a “moderate” Heat Advisory for parts of Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin counties today. Temps are still expected to climb into the upper 80s, but conditions aren’t expected to be as oppressive as they were to start the week. Easthampton public schools have already called for early dismissal again today. Some relief is expected by mid-week, and with it, the potential for some heavy thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon.
