(Boston, MA) The Attorney General’s Office has a $1.1 million grant program to provide additional funding to municipalities and nonprofits that provide heating assistance to low income households. Specifically, the program is targeted to support families who make 60-80% of the state’s median income as these households are vulnerable to rising energy costs, while not being eligible for the state’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program which serves households making 60% of less of the state median income.
