Motion To Sell Surplus Property Tabled At Council Meeting

(Greenfield, MA) Greenfield City Council voted to declare the vacant property at 188 Main Street as surplus. The Council tabled the vote to authorize the sale of the property after councilors discussed the history and future of the property as it was taken through the tax title taking process in 2017, and there was an informal agreement made to pause the sale of these properties until the state provides guidance on the tax title taking process.
