ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Jeffrey Parker has been named the new Athol Fire Chief after 30 years in the department.
Parker has been serving as the Deputy Chief and then stepped into the role of acting chief in December when former Chief Joseph Guarnera stepped down.
Parker is expected to step down from his current role as part-time Fire Chief in Phillipston by September of this year.
