(Boston, MA) As new COVID-19 confirmed cases reach a global high today, Massachusetts saw a mild spike. Today, there are a total of 519 newly confirmed cases, 354 confirmed and 165 probable cases. There are also 38 deaths, a lower number compared to this time in May. On this day in May, there were a total of 669 newly reported confirmed cases and 129 newly reported deaths. The recent spike in confirmed cases globally has WHO warning that the worst is yet to come, but so far Massachusetts is moving forward with the reopening process.
