GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Work is wrapping up on construction of the new Greenfield Fire Station. The department will soon be housed at 41 Main Street, moving from its current temporary location on Hope Street.

“We hope to be able to move in later this month,” said Fire Chief Robert Strahan. “That will be dependent on whether or not we’re able to button everything up, and getting an occupancy permit. We are hoping for a dedication ceremony in the first or second week in June.”

The project had been beset by several delays with equipment delivery due to supply chain issues.
