(Massachusetts) Massachusetts public health officials have issued new mask guidance that most fully vaccinated people should no longer feel required to wear a mask against COVID-19 in most indoor spaces. There are exceptions to Tuesday’s recommendations. Fully vaccinated people should continue wearing masks indoors if they have a weakened immune system or are at increased risk for severe disease because of their age or underlying medical condition. They should also continue wearing masks if someone in their household has a weakened immune system and is at increased risk for severe disease or is unvaccinated. Some cities and towns, including Greenfield, Northampton, Easthampton and Boston, continue to have mask mandates.
