GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A new ordinance has been proposed in Greenfield that would establish a rental registry to monitor and enforce health and safety standards in rental units.
The ordinance would require landlords with greater than six units to have health inspections every five years, with 90 days to bring units into compliance following an inspection.
The ordinance was proposed by City Councilor Vice President John Garrett, who presented the proposal to the Appointments & Ordinances subcommittee last week.
