BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A new report was released this week on the Northern Tier Passenger Rail estimating the passenger service to cost up to $2.96 billion.
The report was released nearly three years after it was due to come out and suggests that while public support for travel between North Adams and Boston is there, further travel demand data may be needed as well as a cost-benefit analysis and exploring federal funding options.
